I Don't know about you but there is something about red nail polish that is so chic and delicious. Maybe it's because my favorite color is red but every time someone wears red nail polish I think of classy and red compliments EVERYONE. I always have trouble finding the perfect shade of red, sometimes there are ones where they're too orange or sometimes they're too dark. Well I think i found the perfect Vivid Red and it was only 99 cents! What a steal I know! The color is Big Apple Red Creme and it's by NYC. Now I know some people (like me) have had trouble finding their perfect shade of red for their skin tone that's why you turn to Marie Claire and their Hair and Beauty How To's:
Q: I love red nail polish, but not all reds look good on my skin. Any suggestions?
A: Find your best hue with these pointers from New York manicurist Deborah Lippman. If your skin is dark or has golden undertones, bright, true reds look best. To make pink skin look less ruddy, use lighter orange-reds. If you're pale, the contrast of a blue-red is striking. Before polishing, make sure to apply a base coat to prevent stains from setting in.
This color is so perfect for my skin tone. I always love wearing different shades of red because they make your hands look so polished and lets face it red is the perfect pop of color. The color payoff is great I applied it twice just to make sure you couldn't see my nail line underneath and topped it off with Donna Loren's Top Coat because i've tried NYC's top coat and it made my nailpolish crack just a couple hours after I applied it but, hey it was only 99 cents so no sweat off my back :)
Shake NYC long lasting nail nail polish gently, apply one or two coats, let dry in between coats.
